Loosely based on the infamous ‘Hedge Burners’ gang who plagued Melbourne, Australia several years ago videotaping their crimes, RAZOR EATERS is your front row ticket to an anarchistic rampage. First switched on in the middle of a home invasion, the RAZOR EATERS’ camera never stops running as their crime spree brings them into the city and its gritty surrounding suburbs. Their world is a twisted reality of snappy taglines and sportswear philosophy, where laws don’t exist and murder can make you a star quicker than Hollywood.

A gritty urban crime thriller, the RAZOR EATERS production became notorious in Australia. In a strange case of life imitating art, the filmmakers themselves also ended up on the run from the police, who publicly condemned the film’s subject matter and actively attempted to disrupt production! Fortunately the filmmakers were as determined as the gang in the film, and tackled their pursuers head on to emerge with a controversial and award winning movie that Film Threat described as “thought provoking… mind blowing, a stunning achievement in filmmaking”.
